Campaigns by all nominated candidates to contest for parish level committees for youth, older persons and PwDs under the Special Interest Groups elections kicked off today, Monday 30th June and will run until 5th July 2025, according to Mr. Julius Mucunguzi , the EC Spokesperson.
Election for the these interest groups at parish level will be held on 7th JulyT2025.
According to the Electoral Commission the electorate for the parish-level committees will comprise the village-level committees for each category. For instance, village committees for youth in a parish will elect the parish-level committee for youth.
The Electoral Commission encourages eligible candidates to participate in these processes while following the guidelines and procedures set forth for the elections.
