NIRA has kick started registration of secondary school learners especially those from S1-3 for the purpose of issuing them NINs. Students will be required by Ministry of Education for continuous assessment.
In support of that the organization has made arrangements to have extra registration centers at boma grounds in the following cities: Masaka, Mbarara, Kasese, Fortportal, Arua, Gulu, Lira, Soroti, Mbale and Jinja to support the already existing centers at districts and Kampala divisions. Additionally the main offices at Kololo will be open throughout weekends to facilitate holiday NIN registration
UNEB has indicated that students will be required to use their NIN to register for national exams .
