Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, attended the Sovereign’s Parade on August 5, 2026, to watch his son, Private Ruhamya Kainerugaba, graduate from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom.
Ruhamya completed the rigorous officer commissioning course in leadership and military tactics, following in the footsteps of Gen. Muhoozi, who graduated from Sandhurst 27 years earlier .
Ruhamya graduated with another Ugandan Bakira Ruyondo .
Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba and his wife together with Mr. and Mrs James Ruyondo the parents of Afande Bakira Ruyondo attended the ceremony .
