Vocal Koboko Municipality MP Evelyn Anite who is also the State Minister for Investments has been nominated to retain her NRM ticket for 11th Parliament . She said ; “My people deserve effective, quality, people and result oriented representation and I am going to give them more of that”.
The Koboko Municipality just like Sheema are some of the hotly contested NRM tickets which has led the aspirants supporters to flout the set SOPs to fight the spread of the global novel Covid -19 pandemic . Anite has since apologised on behalf of her supporters for not taking due care about public health precautions.
A darling of President Yoweri Museveni , Anite is credited for the removal of the age limit that will effectively hand Museveni another term at plot one -state house in 2021.
