President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni has joined the people of Karamoja to celebrate their culture and identity at the Karamoja Cultural Festival.
He congratulated them upon this festival and thanked the people of Karamoja for massively voting for the National Resistance Movement (NRM).
He reminded them that the disarmament of Karamoja was necessary because guns were bringing murder and insecurity. He especially thanked the women who supported the government in collecting more than (41000) forty one thousand guns.
He also told them to preserve the good aspects of their culture, especially discipline and family values, and abandoning practices that are no longer good for society. We must preserve our identity while embracing development and morden way of life.
