WHO Commends Uganda In The Fight Against Ebola, No New Cases Reported In 11 Days AS UCAA Management Meets Ministry Of Health Officials
No new Ebola cases have been reported in 11 days as Ugandan health authorities and representatives from the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) convened a meeting to address blanket travel restrictions and flight suspensions imposed on Uganda by international airlines following the regional Ebola outbreak.
During the meeting, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health – Uganda warned that such restrictions are disproportionate to the actual public health risk and undermine confidence in countries that report outbreaks transparently.

UCAA reported that several international airlines had temporarily suspended flights or restricted travel for passengers originating from Uganda.
he Ministry of Health – Uganda clarified that departing travelers do not require “Ebola-Free Certificates”. They have cautioned the public against fraudsters selling these fake documents.
The World Health Organization (WHO) commended Uganda for its robust response and containment measures, noting significant progress as the country progresses toward an Ebola-free declaration.
For the latest verified travel health measures at the airport, you can refer to the official UCAA Entebbe Airport Guidelines. If you need further public health information, check the Ministry of Health – Uganda Ebola Updates page.
