The Senior Presidential Adviser for Special Operations, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has praised Attorney General Kiryowa Kiwanuka for his loyalty to the NRM government and intellect.
Speaking at Kiryowa’s lavish birthday party in Kigo which attracted hundreds of lawyers and OBs and OGs from Kings College Budo Muhoozi Kainerugaba said that he had initially not been impressed by the lawyer in their early days in high school.
Muhoozi told the guests that while at Budo he saw Kiryowa as another boy but later discovered how resourceful the lawyer was and had to know him better.
The outspoken Kiryowa turned 50 and threw a big party at Kigo gardens. The event was attended by top Kampala businessmen and high level government officials.
In his brief remarks, Gen Kainerugaba said that Kiryowa is a highly gifted and intelligent man who is firm on his principles and decisions. He is also a loyal cadre who believes in effective public service and has worked with the judiciary to fast track cases . Kiryowa is also credited for having revamped a hitherto slow and inefficient AG chambers where cases could take decades before being disposed off .
The strict Kiryowa also has put government officials on notice against sloppiness and delayed payments for contracts with local service providers saying they would be personally held accountable .
