A team from Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) has taken part in the 3rd edition of the Tusker Lite Mt. Rwenzori Marathon in Kasese District.
The annual event not only highlights Uganda’s stunning landscapes but also celebrates the endurance of our athletes. Featuring 42km, 21km, 10km, and 5km runs, the marathon goes beyond just the race, it’s about uncovering new talent, championing environmental conservation, and promoting tourism in our beautiful country.

Two Bukwo-based long-distance runners Abel Chelangat and Emily Chebet won the men’s and women’s respective 42km races during the third edition of the Tusker Lite Mt Rwenzori Marathon in Kasese.
Chelangat crossed the finishing line in 2:14:59 while Chebet clocked 2:42:08, each claiming a Shs10m cash prize.
