AFCON 2027: UCAA Conducts Aerodrome Land Use And Obstacle Sensitisation In Gulu City
The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) has convened aerodrome operators and other stakeholders in Gulu City for a two-day sensitisation on land use and obstacle control around airfields to strengthen aviation safety ahead of Uganda’s co-hosting of the tournament.
The training is aimed at strengthening aviation safety and prevent land encroachment in the run up to the Afcon tournamnet to be held in Uganda mid next year .
Preparations are in high gear to ensure safe operations and ready airports ahead of Uganda co-hosting AFCON 2027, alongside ongoing infrastructure upgrades at Gulu airfield .
UCAA enforces the laws on land use and the control of obstacles near flight paths to keep air travel safe.
