Uganda Civil Aviation Authority is preparing for the International Federation Of Air Traffic Controllers Association (IFATCA) Global Conference that will be held in Kampala.
The event is expected to attarct more than 600 delegaates from 132 countries.
The event will be held from April 12 -16 , 2027.
Uganda won the competitive bid during the 2025 IFATCA Global Conference in Abu Dhabi .Uganda was endorsed by all the representatives at the 64th Annual Conference of the IFATCA held recently in the city of Abu Dhabi.
While Chad and Congo Brazzaville were admitted into the fold, there was also signing of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between IFATCA and FACAA (Fédération des Associations des Contrôleurs Aériens de l’ASECNA), a new chapter for regional technical collaboration.beating several other contenders .
The 2027 even will place Uganda at the center of global aviation dialogue , showcasing the country’s progress in air traffic management, aviation safety and infrastructure development .
