Museveni To Attend 60th Anniversary Of The Zanzibar Revolution

Uganda’s President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is in Zanzibar to attend the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Zanzibar Revolution. He was invited by President Suluhu Samia , of the United Republic of Tanzania.

President Museveni is also set to have private discussion about the diplomatic relations between the sister friendly countries and the progress of the 1,443km East Africa Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) that will transport crude oil from Uganda ‘s oil fields to the port of Tanga, Tanzania on the Indian Ocean.

After the celebrations Museveni will return to Uganda ahead of the Non Aligned Movement (NAM) summit that will be held in the capital Kampala from January 15th, 2023.
