As Uganda readies to uptake E- mobility transport solutions ,only six days remain for qualified bus drivers to submit their applications for the first ever comprehensive fully electric operator skilling program.
This training program is being conducted by the Science, Technology and Innovation Secretariat – Office of the President (STI-OP) in partnership with Kiira Motors Corporation (KMC).
This program is designed to equip drivers with the knowledge and skills required to operate electric buses safely and efficiently and provide a positive travel experience for passengers.
Eligibility Criteria
The program includes both theoretical and practical training sessions. To participate in the skilling program, bus drivers must meet the following eligibility criteria:
(i) Hold a valid commercial driver’s license with Class – DE/DH
(ii) Have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a bus driver

How to apply
To apply to participate in the Skilling Programme for Electric Bus Operators, you must send your application through email [hr@kiiramotors.com] before the deadline. No applications will
be accepted after Midnight on 17th July 2023 (as recorded by the mail server). Alternatively, we are accepting hand-delivered applications at Kiira Motors Corporation Head Offices, Plot 13, Kimera Road, Ntinda, Kampala, Uganda .
Your application should include the following documents:
(1) A Duly Signed Application Letter (Cover Letter) addressed
to the Chief Executive Officer, Kiira Motors Corporation.
(2) Valid Driving License to Drive a Bus (Minimum Class/Group
DE/DH).
(3) Certificate in Defensive Driving
(4) Certificate of Good Conduct
(5) National identity Card.
(6) Letter of Recommendation from the Bus Drivers’ Association in your jurisdiction.
