UNEB SET TO RELEASE DELAYED 2020 UCE RESULTS TOMORROW

Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) is set to release the delayed 2020 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examination results tomorrow at a scientifically held event .Over 330,000 students sat for the 2020 senior four exams.

“Following the briefing of the Minister by UNEB, it has been confirmed that the 2020 UCE Examination Results will be released by the Minister for Education and Sports, Hon. Janet K. Museveni this Friday July 30, 2020, “  a  statement from UNEB read in part .

The Scientific function will take place at State House Nakasero, starting at 12:00 Noon. It will be broadcast live on all National Radio and  TV stations, and streamed live on UNEB’s social media channels.

The 2020 Examinations were held under the theme ;” integrity and security in the management of examinations, the health  and safety of learners is a joint responsibility.”

  UNEB said that access to the results  and collection of result slips  will be downloaded by the Heads of UCE Examination Centers on their portals as soon as they are released.  “ No hard copy result slips will be issued from UNEB offices until conditions are more favourable. When that time comes,  Examination Centers will be notified accordingly,” the UNEB officials stated .

UNEB  warned schools and parents against gathering the candidates in  school premises or anywhere else for any form of celebration of the results as such gatherings are not permitted under the COVID-19 SOPs. “Let’s stay  safe as we celebrate this great milestone and secure the future.”

UNEB  stated that it conducts valid, reliable, equitable and quality assessment of learners’ achievements in a professional and innovative manner, and awards internationally recognized certificates.

“ Candidates, their parents and any other person wishing to access results may do so through their mobile Phones. Simply go to the Message Menu & type *UCE*, leave space, type the correct index No.of the candidate e.g. **U0000/001**send to **6600** on the MTN & Airtel networks.’
