Global Music superstar Shakira has extended a life-changing invitation to Uganda’s renowned Triplets Ghetto Kids to join her on stage during the halftime show at the FIFA World Cup Final, scheduled to take place a few hours from now in the United States .
The Triplets Ghetto Kids is an NGO dedicated to using music, dance, and drama as tools to support disadvantaged, street, and orphaned children.
The invitation marks a historic moment for the Ugandan dance group, offering them an international platform to showcase their extraordinary talent.
“I want that moment to be special to all of us. I want it to be unforgettable. That’s why I’ve decided to invite as many of you as I can to dance with me at the finals. So, I’ve already invited the Ghetto Kids from Uganda, but I really, really would like to see all of your creations and your videos, so keep sending them, because I’m gonna be watching,”
The Triplets Ghetto Kids have gained international fame over the years for their energetic and creative dance performances.
The Triplets Ghetto Kids (often known as Ghetto Kids) is a globally acclaimed Ugandan dance and music group based in the Katwe slums of Kampala, Uganda. Founded in 2014 by Dauda Kavuma, the organization takes in street children, orphans, and disadvantaged youth, using dance as a platform to secure their education, healthcare, and livelihood.
They shot to international fame after being featured in French Montana’s hit 2017 song “Unforgettable”.
The group has performed at massive international events, including the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and the Britain’s Got Talent finals.
They are celebrated for their vibrant energy and routines, leading to invitations to perform alongside major global artists, such as sharing the stage for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Beyond dance, the group functions as a large family and community foundation aimed at giving vulnerable children a safe home, clothing, and formal education.
A total of 48 countries have participated in the FIFA World Cup 2026, which has been jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

The massive 2026 tournament featured an expanded 48-team format and has been co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, with Argentina entering as the defending champion and now going to play against Spain in defence of the title they won four years ago after defeating France .

The 2026 FIFA World Cup has made history as the biggest edition yet, with 48 teams competing across 104 matches.
The 2030 World Cup will be staged across six countries on three continents, the most geographically ambitious tournament in the competition’s history. The tournament will kickoff on June 8, 2030 and conclude on July 21, 20230.
Spain, Portugal and Morocco are the main hosts and will stage the vast majority of matches, including the final. It is the first time a single World Cup has been spread across two continents, Europe and Africa, in the same edition.
To mark the 100th anniversary of the first World Cup, held in Uruguay in 1930, three centenary celebration matches will open the tournament in South America. One game each will be played in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay, with the very first match returning to Estadio Centenario in Montevideo, where it all began. After those three fixtures, the tournament shifts to Europe and North Africa for the remainder.
