GOVT DISTRIBUTES FREE FACE MASKS IN KAMPALA, WAKISO AND MUKONO
The Ministry of Health has started distribution of facee masks in the districts of Kampala, Wakiso and Mukono as the 3rd person succumbs to the novel deadly covid-19 pandemic .
In a statement , issued by Minister of Information , ms. Judith Nabakooba , called upon the residents in Kampala to be vigilant and ensure that they get their free face masks being distributed by the local leaders.
“Very soon, government will start enforcing the wearing of masks and there will be no excuses for not having one. So far about 8 million Masks have been distributed country wide,” she said.
Nabakooba also reminded the private car users about the existing guidelines that were issued by President Yoweri Museveni allowing only four passengers in a vehicle including the driver.
As the political seasons heats up , Nabakooba said; “we must all actively get involved in preventing COVID-19. Let us therefore endeavor to stick by the guidance from the Electoral Commission and avoid crowds.”
President Museveni has asked the Ministry of Health to have all political candidates tested for Covid-19.
Let us be responsible and protect our people from the risk of catching COVID-19 by avoiding crowds.
