Entertainer Omugeye Moses Kawooya is dead
Ssanyu African Music and Dramatic Society (SAMADS) founder and dancer who used to entertain President Yoweri Museveni and his guests at state functions is dead. He died from his home in Kyengera -Mugongo after a long illness.
Moses Kawooya gained popularity for his impressive dance strokes during football games at Nakivubo stadium and state functions. In his heydays he was a constant entertainer at Entebbe Airport when VIPs visited Uganda Including USA President Bill Clinton’s visit to Uganda in the early 1990s.
However, friends said he died a poor dejected man with no help from those he brought joy .
Kawooya who was living in Kyengera – Mugongo in Wakiso district, and he has been ill since the COVID pandemic. His combi taxi broke -down and he had no steady income , family sources stated.
