CABINET MINISTERS TO BE TAUGHT KISWAHILI STARTING NEXT WEEK -KADAGA
Cabinet ministers will be taught compulsory Kiswahili lessons starting next week to enhance their proficiency in the language, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Community Affairs Rebecca Kadaga has said.
“Starting on Monday, the entire cabinet is going to start training in Kiswahili officially. It be on every Monday starting from 9am to 10am for ministers to take lessons in Kiswahili,” Kadaga stated . She was opening the second annual East African Court of Justice (EACJ) judicial conference at Mestil Hotel in Kampala.
Kadaga explained that the Uganda government attaches special importance to the issue of integration which requires a common language to be adopted by the East African Community.
