Two bodies were recovered and 15 l revelers escaped with injuries as a devastating fire gutted Sunrise Hotel along Khamis Road in downtown Kampala destroying property in millions of shillings . In another fire outbreak at Agenda 2000 along Kireka -Namugongo raod , property in millions of shillings was destroyed .
Community effort was at play as citizens help the residents at the Sunrise hotel to escape through windows some without clothes . The same harambee effort was exhibited at Agenda 2000 as locals helped shop owners to remove their merchandise as the wild fire spread .
The cause of the two fire was yet to be established but the fire brigade managed to put out the fire before it spread to neighboring structures .
Firefighters contained the blaze in time , saving many lives .
