NO ONE WILL GRAB NABISUNSA GIRLS SCHOOL LAND- NABAKOOBA
Lands Minister Judith Nabakooba has intervened in a land dispute between the Uganda Land Commission (ULC) and the management of Nabisunsa Girls Secondary School and assured the Muslim community that whatever the circumstance no one will evict the school from its current premises .
Local leaders and the Muslim fraternity had called upon the Chairman of the Uganda Land Commission to make a public statement to settle fears of the Muslim community on the matter.
According to the Minister , a meeting has been called between the management of Nabisunsa , ULC and land registration to find out if there are any tittle overlaps. The meeting is not a hearing for cancellation of any tittle, Nabakooba clarified .
Minister Nabakooba’s intervention follows reports that the ULC had written to the Board of Governors of Nabisunsa -a leading Muslim girls school -stating that there were occupying a portion of the school’s land illegally thus causing anxiety among the stakeholders.
