Molly Katanga Begins Her Defence In High Court Murder Trial Of Her Husband
Molly Katanga the woman at the center of the high profile murder case of her husband Henry Katanga will begin her defence at the High Court Criminal Division in Kampala.
Molly is accused of shooting her husband dead on November 2, 2023, at their home in Mbuya, Nakawa Division in Kampala, a case that has drawn huge public attention.
Molly Katanga is now set to present her defence through her lawyers before Lady Justice Rosette Kania Comfort . The judge has since ruled that Molly and her co-accused have a case to to answer in the cold murder of Henry Katanga two years ago..
Molly is jointly charged with her two daughters, Martha Nkwanzi and Patricia Kakwanza, as well as George Amanyire, a shamba boy, and Charles Otai, a health worker.
Nkwanzi and Kakwanza are accused of tampering with evidence at the crime scene, allegedly rendering it unfit for judicial examination, while Amanyire and Otai are said to have assisted individuals involved in the crime.
Last month, the four co-accused were granted cash bail of Shs 2 million each, with their sureties bonded at Shs 20 million and ordered to surrender their passports.
