LAMWAKA WHO WILL BE THE OMORO NRM WOMAN FLAG BEARER THANKS VOTERS PROMISES MORE DEVELOPMENT FOR THE DISTRICT

Catherin Lamwaka who will be the Omoro district NRM woman MP flag bearer has thanked her voters for the big turn up and overwhelming support they gave her in the hotly contested NRM primaries .
Lamwaka was one of the few NRM incumbents that registered landslides in the polls which were marred by violence , intimidation and alteration of results. Several incumbents were floored too for being insensitive to the voters needs an aspirations . But Lamwaka and the people of Omoro it was all joy and celebrations as the woman legislators received well over 100,000 votes . “The people of Omoro have spoken and in their message they have spoken very loudly and clearly about what democracy means,” the MP stated adding that she took pride in dedicating the landslide victory to her supporters.
“ I don’t take for granted the commitment and zeal the different groups were able to put in for us as to reap this great success in the just concluded primaries .Gratitude to the youth and women who offered their full support from the onset of the election process,” a jovial Lamwaka said in a message to her supporters urging them to come together and be ready for the 2021 general elections .
Why Lamwaka beat her rivals hands down
Several voters in Omoro have told this publication that unlike in other parts of the country where there were many absentee legislators , Lamwaka has not abandoned her people in Omoro . “ She is been there for us throughout her five year term. The district has benefited a lot from her leadership and lobbying in government especially for the benefit of the youth. Women and elderly ,” a youthful voter noted .
Others said that Lamwaka was a people’s person who was not aloof and arrogant like other MPs who carried themselves like small gods . “ She is a down to earth woman and the support she has received shows that the people appreciate her . MPs should never forget that they are elected by the people. Legislators should always serve the people’s interests and be visible in the constituencies ,” another voter said.
Others said Lamwaka had delivered on many of her promises and believe she has what it takes to transform Omoro into a very vibrant district .
