King Mswati III Of Eswatini Ready To Invest In Uganda’s Kiira Vehicle Plant As E- Mobility Expo Is Held Today

Eswatini King  Mswati III has pledged to invest in Uganda nascent automotive industry by partnering with automakers Kiira Motors to develop and produce sustainable mobility solutions for Africa .

He made the pledge while on a tour of the Kiira vehicle Plant the biggest in East and Central Africa . He  appreciated Kiira Motors” leading role in championing E-mobility on the African continent .

He reiterated his kingdom’s determination to work with the government of Uganda to promote and market Kiira Motors  premium products – the Kayoola EVs and Diesel Coaches   in the COMESA regional market .

King Mswati III was accompanied by the Minister of STI Dr. Monica Musenero and her counterparts the Minister of Transport , Gen Katumba Wamala ,Minister for the Presidency , Milly Babalanda  and Uganda’s Ambassador to southern Africa ,Paul Amoru among others.

They were received at the KVP by the Kiira Motors Corporation ,(KMC) ,Prof Sandy Stevens Tickodri-Togboa and CEO Paul Isaac Musasizi.

Today, Uganda’s automotive industry flagship -Kiira Motor’s Corporation is holding the inaugural e-Mobility Expo and Kiira Vehicle Plant (KVP) Open House .

The Kiira Vehicle Plant Open House and e-Mobility Expo 2024 is the first biggest and most diverse e mobility event on the African continent drawing over 200 delegates including but not limited to potential customers ,suppliers investors ,opinion leaders ,media, policy makers and the public to celebration e mobility innovation and drum up the readiness of the e mobility ecosystem to meet the demand for high quality products and services on the African Continent.

The KMC will continue to play her role as the beachhead of mobility innovation on the continent showcasing the market proven products and giving the delegates a behinds the scenes uncensored experience of the biggest most capable and most competent bus manufacturing plant on the African continent.

The e–Mobility Expo is set to bring together over 200 delegates  from five continents of the world  to discuss the strides made in Uganda’s ambition to position itself as a net source of e-mobility solutions in Africa.
