FORMER MAKERERE VICE CHANCELLOR PROF. DDUMBA APPOINTED ON ELECTRICITY REGULATORY AUTHORITY BOARD
Prof. John Ddumba Ssentamu, the fromer Makerere University Vice Chancellor , has been appointed to the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) board.
Prof. Ddumba ‘s appointment was approved by Cabinet this week. Others members of the ERA board are , Dr Sarah Wasagali Kanaabi, Eng. Erias Kiyemba, Eng .Josepth Oteng Otogo and Amb Joan Rwabyomeire .
Ddumba, a Professor of Economics is also the chairman of the board of Centenary Bank, the second-largest commercial bank in the Uganda.
ERA is a Statutory Body established in 2000 under the Electricity Act, 1999, (Chapter 145 of the Laws of Uganda) to regulate the Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Sale, Export and Import of Electrical Energy in Uganda.
