The Social Media Site,YouTube, expunged Prof. Patrick Ogwang’s content related to the use of Covidex herbal medicine on grounds that it violate its “medical misinformation policy.”
Posted with the tag – “How to use COVIDEX” Professor’s instruction video was meant to help Covidex users on how to administer the herb medicine which many claim that it reverses the effects of Covid-19 virus in a human body.
The company (YouTube) justified their action to expunge the Covidex video claiming that it was carrying misinformation of topics related to COVID-19 and medicines. They stated that Prof Ogwang’s assertions contradict the World Health Organization standards.
“Our team reviewed your content, and unfortunately we think it violates our medical misinformation policy,” YouTube said, in a statement.
“We know that this might be disappointing, but its important to us that YouTube remains a safe place for all. If content breaks our rules, we remove it” the company added.
