TWO AL SHABAAB MILITANTS PUT OUT OF ACTION
Two al shabaab terrorists have been killed in operations by the UPDF in Somalia .
According to the Maj Peter Mugisa, Uganda Contingent Public Information Officer, the al shabaab terrorists were killed in the areas of Beledamin-Lower Shabelle in Somalia.
The Alshabaab fighters had come to probe attack but fell into ATMIS ambush and as a result two Alshabaab fighters were killed, two submachine guns (SMGs) and six magazines with 130 rounds of ammunition were charged.
“The splinter group of Alshabaab militants have been extorting illegal taxes and food items from farmers. The loss of their fighters is a relief to civilians who have grappled with violent criminal acts meted out by Alshabaab terrorists,” Mugisa stated.
Beledamin is an agricultural area 82 kms Southwest of Mogadishu in Lower Shabelle under the control of UPDF.
