Rural Broadcasters in Back to School Symposium

The global COVID-19 pandemic led the nation to two years of unprecedented learning disruptions and closures.
Now as the country is getting focused on the upcoming school reopening, it is not a time for despair. This is time to deepen community engagement for safer school’s reopening.
Rural Broadcasters Owners Association (RUBA) in partnership with Ministry of Education, Uganda Broadcasting Corporation, World of Bingwa, Teacher Talk Magazine and Stanbic Bank Uganda will engage parents, learners, non-state actors, teachers, school proprietors and local governments through an inclusive National Safe Back-to School Symposium (SB2S).
The National SB2S Symposium is a countrywide 3 day event of deliberations hosted at UBC and aired simultaneously via an array of radio stations and televisions starting from Monday 3rd January to Wednesday 5th January 2022. 11 :00 AM to Mid day.
The guest speakers will include; the ministers from Education and Youth and Child Affairs, leaders of teacher’s union, school proprietors, parents and the private sector.
The speakers will be supported by media personalities to convey messages in different languages as well as igniting conversations customized to geographical and social reach.
