President Museveni Appoints And Promotes Police Officers

President Yoweri Museveni, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, has approved significant appointments and promotions within the Uganda Police Force (UPF).

In an official statement released today, five senior officers have been promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP).

The newly appointed AIGPs are: James Apora, Tanui Stephen, Obwona Joseph , Niwabiine Lawrence and Musana Godfrey

The promotions underscore the government’s commitment to strengthening the leadership within the Police Force, ensuring effective service delivery and public safety. These appointments come at a time when the UPF continues to play a pivotal role in maintaining law and order across the country.
