POLICE ARRESTS STUDENTS WHO PROTESTED AGAINST RISING COMMODITY PRICES AT PARLIAMENT

Several students from Makerere and Kyambogo universities have been arrested by police following protests over rising commodity prices . The students who chained themselves before marching to parliament were stopped from accessing the parliamentary grounds .
Food and other commodity prices have shot-up causing anger among the population . Government is yet to intervene saying the factors responsible for the skyrocketing prices are global.
