The Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja , has decried the reduced donor funding for refugees hosted in Uganda . She was speaking to the Director of the International Organisation for Migration of the United Nations , Mr.Par Liljertat , on the sidelines of the United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries taking place in the city of Awaza in Turkmenistan.
Nabbanja noted that despite Uganda being one of the leading countries with a large influx of refugees , support from the development partners has since reduced making it difficult to feed and provide medical care for all refugees now living in the country .
Mr. Liljertat, hailed Uganda for being a global champion on matters related to migration and being one of the leading refugees hosting country.
Globally, Uganda stands out for being the most hospitable country in the world because of the good policies in hosting refugees currently totalling to about two million refugees.
