NRM’s Nabakooba , Rival Joyce Bagala Denounce Divisive Tribal Politics , Gang -Up Against NUP

The NRM’s MP flag bearer , Minister of Lands, Housing, and Urban Development Judith Nalule Nabakooba and Mityana outgoing District Woman Member of Parliament (MP) Joyce Bagala have joined forces to denounce divisive tribal politics.

Sources in Mityana have intimated to this publication that the two women leaders have been holding secret meetings with their coordinators and campaign agents ‘safeguard’ the voters from what they call ‘ destructive political influences’in the run-up to the 2026 elections.

“Our goal is to shield the people of Mityana from negative politics, especially those spreading hate, tribalism, and false promises,” this alliance is about loyalty to the people, not parties,” a source said.

Bagala, who was recently denied a NUP card by Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine , was quoted as saying that her political choices are guided by the needs of her constituents, not by tribal or partisan agendas.

“You cannot ask me to hate President Museveni just because he is from the West or belongs to a different party. That’s cheap politics, and I’m above that,” I focus on what truly helps my people. Don’t compare me and Minister Nabakooba to leaders like Nabossa Mukisa Proscovia, who thrive on division,” Bagala was quoted to have said.

“Where is the ‘New Uganda’ they speak of, where political party tickets are handed out to family and friends, while capable leaders are ignored?” Minister Nabakooba and I are ready to expose these empty promises and offer our people real solutions,” Bagala asked.

“This is not about party colors. It’s about putting the people of Mityana first, “their alliance is focused on real issues like healthcare, roads, youth empowerment, and education, not hate speech or cheap politics,” the source emphasized.
