Museveni Opens Busega Market During His On-going PDM Kampala Tour
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni , has opened the newly constructed Busega Market during his on-going PDM tour of Kampala.
in the company of First Lady Janet Museveni, the president said that the new market is part of the government’s broader efforts to promote structured, reliable trade and service-based work for ordinary Ugandans under the NRM’s wealth creation agenda.
“This new facility gives traders a safe, clean, and organised space to operate, which is far better than selling on the roadside, where they face losses, especially during bad weather,” Museveni said.
“The message of the NRM is clear: we must work to create wealth. Whether you are an owner or a worker, everyone should be engaged. Idleness is not acceptable,” he said.

Museveni appreciated the people of Busega for embracing trading, vending, and small-scale enterprises as key drivers of their household incomes.
“I was encouraged to see that the people of Busega are focusing on services such as trading, vending, and small shops. That is valuable work,” he said.
