KABAKA MUTEBI MEETS UHURU KENYATTA AS MUSEVENI VOWS TO ARREST THOSE WHO SPREAD FALSEHOODS THAT HE WAS ILL

The Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Edward Frederick Kimera Mutebi II has today paid a courtesy call on his personal friend Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta days after rumours of him being taken ill went viral on Uganda’s social media .
President Yoweri Museveni has now instructed the police to investigate and arrest those who are responsible for spreading falsehoods about the Kabaka’s health . Buganda’s Katikiro (premier) Charles Peter Mayiga has since dismissed the rumours as being “unfounded” and meant to create confusion and anxiety in the kingdom .
Kenya State House sources said that the Kabaka and his host ,discussed a number of development activities, including a possible regional cultural integration.
“President Uhuru Kenyatta today at State House, Nairobi held talks with the Kabaka of the Buganda Kingdom, Ronald Edward Frederick Kimera Muwenda Mutebi II who paid him a visit,” a brief statement issued by Kenya State House, said.
“The Head of State and the visiting cultural leader discussed subjects of mutual interest among them the central role of culture in regional integration and peaceful communal co-existence.”
Sources said Kabaka is in Kenya on a prolonged holiday after he marked 27 years since he assumed the Buganda Kingdom’s throne after the death of his father Sir Edward Mutesa.
Mutebi was said to be enjoying a quiet holiday with his children at Kenya’s lavish Masai Mara game reserve which is home to the annual great wildebeest migration .
