FRED BAMWESIGYE APPOINTED NEW UCAA BOSS
Mr Fred Bamwesigye Kanyangoga has been appointed as the new Director General of Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA), according to an instrument signed by Minister of Works and Transport , Gen. Katumba Wamala. Bamwesigye has been serving as the Acting Director General after Dr David Mpango Kakuba retired from the position in June 2020.
Uganda Civil Aviation Authority is charged with the mandate of superintending over the country’s aviation industry, manages Entebbe International Airport and other civilian airports and aerodromes.
The UCAA spokesman , Mr. Vianney Lugya confirmed Bamwesigye’s appointed and welcomed the new development “to ensure continuity.” Bamwesigye 54, is a born of Ruhaama in Ntungamo district . He will earn a monthly salary of Ug.Shs.30.2m and oversee the on going expansion of Entebbe International airport among other multi-billion projects.
