At its 46th Annual General Assembly, the Federation of Uganda Employers Governing Council , has elected Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA)”s ,Director General ,Fred K. Bamwesigye, as its new Chairman.
“I deeply appreciate the trust shown by members of the FUE 46th AGM. I’m looking forward to championing employers’ voices,” Bamwesigye stated shortly after being elected .
Mr. Bamwesigye will be deputised by Ms. Mona Sebuliba, the Managing Director of Agricultural Business Initiative (aBi) Development Finance .
The new FUE leadership takes over from Eng.Dr. Silver Mugisha the Managing Director of National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) and Ms. Annet Nakawunde as outgoing Chairman and Vice Chairperson , respectively .
The Federation is expected to continue advocating for policies that promote a favorable working environment, enhance industrial relations, and drive Uganda’s socio-economic transformation.
The Federation plays a criucial role in represengting and safeguarding the interests of emplyers in Uganda . It provides a platform for dialogue between employers, government agencies , and international labour organisations to shape policies that support business growth and employment opportunities .
While at the helm of FUE Bamweisigye and the rest of the leadership are expected to champion innovation, professional development, and market expansion .
