Former Speaker Of Buganda Lukiiko Nelson Kawalya Dead At 84
BUGANDA is mourning the untimely death of Rotarian and former Speaker of the Lukiiko Nelson Kawalya. He was 84 years old..
Kawalya who also served as Minister of Health in the Kabaka’s government ,celebrated his fifty years of marriage last weekend . He wedded in 1974 and died on Tuesday morning at Mengo hospital following long illness. He was born on September 27th, 1940.
Kawalaya’s son , Victor Ssenteza , said his father was taken to Mengo hospital after complaining of general body weakness.
Kawalya who has been a resident of Lubaga in Kampala is survived by widow Naava Annet Kawalya and children .
