Former and long serving Makerere University Sports Tutor and educationist Prof. Era Mugisa is dead.
Prof Mugisa died of advanced age at his home in Hoima-Kakindo 13 Km from Hoima on the Hoima-Masindi Highway , in Bulindi town council .
Prof Mugisa also served as FUFA President in the late 70’s, Uganda Cranes Coach (1962-64) and was a Founder member of the Association of Uganda University Sports (AUUS).
The deceased professor was also President Uganda Hockey Federation, General Secretary. Uganda Athletics Federation, founder member of Eastern Africa University Games (1974-78), and served as Vice President of All-Africa University Sports, In 2004, he was inducted in the SUNY Cortland C-Club Hall of Fame. The late was Head of Ndejje University Sports Science Department before Retirement.
