Long serving Board Chairman of Nation Group in Uganda , Dr. Martin Jerome Okech Aliker, who was also a dental surgeon and businessman man died today at Nakasero hospital . He was 95 years old..
He was born in Gulu District on October 21, 1928, to Rwot Lacito Okech and Juliana Auma. , Dr Aliker studied at Gulu High School and King’s College Budo before joining Makerere University.
He also undertook political science studies at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, United States.
Dr Aliker served as a Senior Presidential Advisor and Foreign Affairs minister in President Museveni’s administration.
He was the founding chancellor of Gulu University and celebrated 60 years of marriage with his wife Camille.
