At least 20 people have been confirmed dead after a Link Bus registration number UBA 003S overturned along Fort Portal – Kyenjojo road, today morning, police sources have said. Among the dead is the driver of the ill fated bus whose identities were yet to be established . Among the dead are 11 male and 9 female.
According to the Traffic Police spokesperson, Faridah Nampiima, the accident happened around 10:30 am along the Fort Portal Mubende highway . Nampiima said that the injured had been transported to Buhinga regional hospital for emergency treatment while the bodied of the dead were undergoing postmortem at the same facility.
