The government, private sector and the general public are now more assured of getting world class printing services in the country, following Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation -UPPC’s being awarded International Standards Organisation -ISO certification.
This is the all-important classification that qualifies an organization, in this case an industrial production plant, to produce for and supply in all markets of the world.
It means for example that the Entebbe based UPPC can do print work for clients in Europe, America, Asia or Australia and of course Uganda, without its capability being questioned.
The government-owned printing corporation becomes only the second printer in Uganda, after the Luzira based Graphic Designs, to acquire the coveted but rigorous-to-attain ISO certification.

The certification that has come after two years of close scrutiny by the World’s standards authority means that the Uganda government and taxpayers now have two locally domiciled choices – UPPC Graphic Systems – where they can have their documents printed under internationally confirmed quality conditions.
The ISO certification awarded to UPPC is dated 11th September 2026.
The certification confirms that UPPC has established and implemented a Quality Management System that meets internationally recognized requirements. It assures clients of consistent quality, efficient processes, customer satisfaction, accountability, risk management, and continual improvement. Clients can now have greater confidence that UPPC operates through structured, controlled, and consistently monitored processes.
The ISO 9001 certification remains highly uncommon among printing firms in Uganda, which now has only two certified printing firms in the country, that have demonstrated commitment to international standards, professionalism, and excellence.
