UGANDA AIRLINES SET TO EXPAND ITS DESTINATIONS
Uganda’s national carrier the Uganda Airlines is scheduled to increase the number of destinations going into the new year 2021.
The airline which resumed operations after decades in the limbo , has been operating the Nairobi route and it is set to revive the Bujumbura destination bringing to five the active services since Entebbe International Airport reopened after a five month lockdown due to the novel- global Covid-19 pandemic that has left more than 130 Ugandans dead.
Other destinations to be launched include Kinshasa as the airliner prepares to add the Airbus A330-800 neo on its fleet .
Sources said that the Kinshasa destination is meant to serve traffic terminating in Uganda and onward traffic to the regional destinations the airline is operating .
Uganda Airlines will also the Johannesburg and Lusaka destination – offering a direct service from Entebbe.
The airline that returned to the regional skies in August 2019, had carried 75,000 passengers before the government suspended all flights in March to stem the spread of the deadly coronavirus.
So far , Uganda Airlines has been received well due to its smooth flights , good customer care and a competent and confident flight crew .
