The Youth should Embrace Government’s Poverty Alleviation Programs -Museveni
President Musveni has urged the youth to embrace wealth creation and support government programs like the Parish Development Model (PDM) to help communities get out of poverty.
Museveni was speaking in Masindi during celebrations for the International Youth Day .
“To combat poverty, we must prioritize commercial agriculture with Ekibaro, using successful local farmers like Hon. Fred Byamuka as role models. We are also focusing on the manufacturing and services sectors, particularly in digital technology, ” Museveni stated .

Additionally, President Museveni added that government is planning to establish an industrial park in Hoima, which will create jobs and economic opportunities for the youth. He reminded the youth that the PDM funds belong to them.
“They should protect these funds and demand accountability,” he stressed.
