The sold out Hajara Namukwaya aka Spice Diana concert at Lugogo Indoor Stadium was marred by incidents of violence as gangs attacked revellers , boxing and hitting them with blunt objects to steal phones , money and other valuables .
Several concert goers sustained injuries and many lost phones and money inside the concert grounds as it approached midnight when police intervened to suddenly end the show . “ Gangs of men moving in groups attacked unsuspecting revellers hitting them with objects or boxing them before they stole whatever they found on their victims .
“It was mayhem as the concert came to a close . The managers of these events need to plan better for the security of the people who attend and ensure no one is attacked by these rogues inside the concert grounds and or venues , “ one of the victims told ugandaupdatenews.com
Several people have shared on social media harrowing experience they encountered when the gangsters ran rings on their victims . Outside the venues no major security incidents were reported as security agencies deployed their men and women to keep law and order .
On a positive note Spice Diana put up a great performance keeping her huge fan base on their toes as she sang most of her popular songs at the Lugogo Cricket Oval.
