Nation Mourns Uganda’s Football Legend Obadiah Semakula AKA Musanvu We’ggwanga Who Died Aged 62
Obadiah “Musanvu we”ggwanga” Ssemakula has died after a long illness .
Arguably regarded as the best crosser of the ball, Ssemakula won the Uganda Cup with Coffee Sports Club in 1970 and 1981.
Ssemakula featured for Coffee in over 40 years and it is reportedly said he was never substituted in his entire life.
Born Obadiah Patrick Ssemakula Mulumba in 1963 he belonged to the Lugave clan. His father was the late Wilberforce Tebusweke Sebbowa who served as a Superintendent of police and his mother was the Late Ruth Obukor from Teso region .
Many personalities including fellow football legends and FUFA administrators had earlier visited the former winger at his residence found in Nabisalu Zone, Makindye Division in Kampala city and contributed to his welfare .
Ssemakula played at Coffee Sports Club, Lugave and the Uganda Cranes.
