MITYANA MAYOR ESTHER NDYANABO BLASTS MP ZAAKE
The Mayor of Mityana Municipality , Esther Ndyanabo ,has accused the area MP Francis Zaake of being an absentee legislator who has not contributed anything tangible for his constituents .
Speaking at a burial in Kabuule , with mourners cheering her on Ms. Ndyanabo blamed Zaake for confusing the electorate by telling them that there is no_Covid-19 yet the pandemic has left close to 20 Ugandans dead and many others have been treated of the novel global pandemic that is ravaging several countries across the world.
“It is our responsibility as leaders of Mityana to work for the people’s interests and not tell lies . I will not accept MP Zaake to divide our people and cause problems for Mityana when he come around peddling lies. ,” the straight talking Mayor stated.
Ndyanabo wondered why Zaake has been allegedly assaulted in other parts of the country i.e Gulu and Kampala and not in his constituency -Mityana. “ This means Mityana is not Zaake’s priority . He is a non performer , “ Ndyanabo said.
A number of voters in Mityana are not happy with Zaake’s performance as their MP noting that apart from his political gimmicks there nothing to show for his leadership. “ there is nothing tangible he has done for Mityana ,” one woman voter said.
With 2021 general elections around the corner its not clear whether Zaake will be returned as an MP for Mityana municipality .
