FORMER TORO KINGDOM PRIME MINISTER JOHN KATURAMU RELEASED FROM LUZIRA PRISION AFTER 22 YEARS JAIL TERM FOR THE MURDER OF PRINCE KIJANANGOMA
Former Prime Minister of Toro John Katuramu has been released from Luzira Prisons on Saturday September 11,2021 after serving 22 years for the brutal murder of the late Prince Patrick Happy Kijanangoma.
Katuramu was convicted and sentenced to death in 1999, for masterminding the murder of the Tooro Prince and a guard, Stephen Kaganda. The incident occurred at Palace View Bar Hotel in Fort Portal town.
Katuramu’s co-accused and convicts were Patrick Kwezi who transmitted the cash to the killers and Alex Twinomugisha, a former UPDF kadogo who actually pulled the trigger to kill the prince.
