Entebbe Airport In High Gear Preparations Ahead Of Big African Union Summit in Kampala
Entebbe International Airport has held a dry run that ends on Friday, 20th December 2024, at 00.45 hours, to prepare for the arrival and departure processes of 50 Heads of Government and over 1,000 VIP delegates that are scheduled to attend the African Union (AU) Summit on Agriculture slated for 9-11th January, 2025, at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
The African Union CAADP Kampala Summit aims to highlight the progress and future plans of the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme, an initiative endorsed by African Union member states to achieve sustainable agricultural growth and development across the continent.
This is the third Summit having been rolled out in 2004 in Maputo and then 2015 in Malabo. The summit will provide a platform to showcase achievements, share success stories, and discuss strategies to enhance agricultural productivity and resilience for the period 2026-2035.
