DR Congo incumbent president Tshisekedi leads by a wide margin in presidential election
The Democratic Republic of the Congo’s incumbent president, Felix Tshisekedi, received 850,684 votes, equivalent to 82.60%, according to the latest figures from the electoral commission, which is still counting results from the Deсember 20 vote.
Opposition candidate Moise Katumbi, the former governor of the country’s province of Katanga, is provisionally in second place with 147,053 votes, corresponding to 14.30%.
By December 31, the electoral commission hopes to have tabulated data from all 22 counties.
