AVIASSIST AND AFRAA Team Up For Aviation Safety in Africa
AviAssist is teaming up with the African Regional Airlines Association AFRAA to boost safety excellence in African aviation. AviAssist and AFRAA have signed an agreement shortly after the World Aviation Festival that took place close to the Foundation’s home base in the Netherlands.
The framework of collaboration will see AFRAA working with AviAssist to enhance aviation safety in the African continent. It will allow the partners to pool resources, expertise, and knowledge to build a safer and more resilient aviation sector, ensuring sustainable growth for the region.
“AviAssist is always looking for fresh channels of distribution for its safety promotion services to benefit the African aviation industry”, AviAssist director Tom Kok explained. “Working with a partner with such a comprehensive list of member airlines and activities throughout Africa provides a unique opportunity to us to do just that. It will assist AviAssist in getting AFRAA members even better access to our world of aviation safety promotion.
The MoU was signed during an informal dinner by Mr. Abderahmane Berthé, AFRAA Secretary General, and Mr. Christopher McGregor, Board Chairman of the AviAssist Foundation and ATR Flight Safety Officer.
