Uganda Starts Covid-19 Vaccination in March 2021
Prime Minister Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda has announced the vaccinating Ugandans against Covid-19 starts in Mach 2021.Ndugu Rugunda has told PArliament that the first people to be vaccinated are the vulnerable and then the rest of the citizens will follow.
The Premier said the government has ordered 9 million doses to start with which are expected to arrive in March. The vulnerable persons are usually those with underlying issues like hypertension, diabetes, HIV and being aged above 60 years. The 9 million anti-covid doses have been secured through the Global Alliance for Vaccines Initiative -GAVI.
