Ugandan police have arrested two suspects Bashir Munyaneza alias ‘Jemo’ and Samuel Magoba , after tracking a stolen iPhone 14 Pro Max belonging to slain SC Villa captain David Owori. Owori was fatally attacked and robbed by suspected street thugs in Makindye, Kampala.
Detectives traced the stolen smartphone to a local mobile phone syndicate.
Officers arrested Munyaneza Bashir and Magoba Samuel in connection with the murder and robbery. They also recovered over 130 suspected stolen phones, hard drives, and ladies’ bags during the operation.
Several SIM cards from different telecommunications networks, including MTN, Safaricom, Airtel and Lyca, were also recovered.
Owori’s remains have been laid to rest at his ancestral home in Bendo B’ Village, Auyo Parish, Iyolwa Sub-county, Tororo District.
